By Air:

Our nearest airport is Pau, approximately 1hr
15mins drive away, which is served with daily flights from London Stansted
(and Bristol) with
Ryanair from as little as £28 return
including taxes
Toulouse, which is around a 2 hours drive, has
flights from London Gatwick with
Easyjet and
British Airways (whose prices can be
surprisingly good), Cardiff and Nottingham with
Bmibaby, and from Birmingham, Bristol and
Southampton with
Flybe.
Car hire is available at
both airports from
Avis,
Europcar, Holiday
Autos and
Easycar among
others, or alternatively we can provide
transfers for a fee.
By Ferry/Car:
St. Malo is the most direct and closet Northern
France port to the Gers, with sailings from
Portsmouth with
Brittany Ferries, leaving a car journey of
some 10 - 11 hours. Alternatively, take
the ferry to Santander with Brittany Ferries, or
Bilbao with
P&O Ferries
, and drive up from Northern
Spain, a journey of 5 -6 hours.
By Train:
Our nearest train station is Toulouse, which is
about a 10 hour journey from London, using
Eurostar
and the TGV.

From the East (Auch)
Take the D943 (west) to L’Isle de Noe -
Montesquiou - Bassous. After Bassous take the
D946 (west) signed to Plaisance and Beaumarchs.
Go through Armous et Cau - Courties - look for a
road sign advertising ‘Le Relais Du Bastidou’.
About 50 metres further on turn right to
Quartier Ricau. Take the second turning right on
this lane indicating L’Estahort and A Bertin. Go
down the lane, past Estahort Farm. A Bertin is
the second house on the right with white gates.
From the West (Pau)
Take the D943 (North east) to Morlaas - Lembeye
- Maubourguet. Leave Maubourguet on the D943 but
after about three miles take the turning left
onto the D14 signed for Plaisance. Go through
Ladaveze Riviere. Look for the D117 turning
right to Beaumarches opposite a large goose
sign. Take this and continue until the
T/staggered junction on the D3. Go straight over
and up the hill into Beaumarches Village.
Straight on at the crossroads. Pass the
church on your left. Turn right (straight on) at
the T junction. Continue on this road for about
three miles. After the Angora sheep farm, turn
left to Quartier Ricau. Take the second turning
right to L’Estahort and A Bertin. A Bertin is
the second house on the right with white
gates.
