The chai, or wine
store, that originally constituted half of the
house has been professionally converted. It is
now a well equipped apartment with two bedrooms,
both en suite, and a large living area with new
kitchenette, and a boiler room that houses
washing machine, ironing facilities and freezer.
It is furnished with a mixture of antique and
modern pieces and is light and airy but cool due
to the thick stone walls of this early 1800's
house. |

The apartment is
entered through beautiful oak doors under a
stone archway, outside of which there is a south
facing terrace (for your private use) which
looks out onto the grange where the horses sleep
the hot summer days away. There is a double
bedroom and a twin, the latter having a door
directly out onto another private north facing
terrace for when the summer sun proves too much.
Put up beds are available in this room, and
another in the sitting area so that a total of
four children could be accommodated. |

Swimming Pool:
The new free-form pool is 1.2 metres deep and is
entered by roman steps which are ideal for the
smaller children to sit and splash about on. The
pool is shared only with the owners and any
other friends or family members who may be at
the house.
Welcome: On your arrival you will find
milk, coffee, tea, orange squash, fresh bread
and butter and jam plus a bottle of local wine
waiting for you. Towels for the bedroom and pool
plus bed linen and basic toilet essentials are,
of course, provided. The beds will be made.
Facilities: Garden torches and candles
are available for those late nights in the
garden. Indoor games and packs of cards are
provided for when you retreat from the sun in
the middle of the day. Badminton and Boules sets
are available for any energetic moments. DVD and
Video recorders and tapes are available in the
sitting area, and you are welcome to make free
use of our internet access by arrangement. |
